Fortnite Battle Royale is a free to play game, designed according to the Battle Royale canons. Fight for survival, defeat enemy clans, do some sexy dancing under a disco ball, or build a structure that will go BOOM when it collapses. Download Fortnite Battle Royale to know how entertaining this chaos can be.
Imagine a world where everything was made of plastic, play dough and was also painted excessively colorfully. This is what Fortnite aspires to be: a bright and eye-catching shooter that doesn't seem to care about movie-like visuals. Even weapon models look like they were carved from a big chunk of plastic. But it doesn't stop them from looking ridiculously funny. And intimidating too.
Fortnite is seamless when it comes to physics: jumping, ducking, dancing, crouching, shooting, explosion effects will not disappoint you. However, fps stuttering occurs sometimes, but it mostly depends on what platform you're using. The consoles are mainly free from that curse.
Your avatar parachutes on the soon-to-be battle arena, using an umbrella like Mary Poppins. And here is, where the fun begins. The first ones to grab the weapons and other death/survival tools, will be more likely to survive the longest. Unless you ruin their plans of course.
The nameless island is massive and versatile: there's snow, sands, forests, etc. In other words, it has areas that demand different tactics and strategies. Apart from collecting ammo, explosives, and guns, you can also scavenge for the structure resources. Using them and your pickaxe, you can hammer together a cozy bunker or a smaller copy of the Tower of Babel. The latter is good for spotting and sniping enemies at a distance.
As the time goes by, your battle arena diminishes, and the bunch of remaining players will be forced to face each other. The last one breathing is the winner.
If you enjoy trolling your opponents, you might like using the Boogie bomb - a devilish contraption that makes everyone afflicted dance like crazy for a few seconds.
There are extra modes present. E.g., Siphon makes you shoot other players to get HP and Team Rumble separates combatants into groups of 20 people, with the task to annihilate each other.
As our Fortnite review has identified, game's controls are elementary to master.X for loading/interaction, A for jumping R aiming/repairing, etc.
Replay Value: 5
With the variety of special events, modes and just very entertaining combats, Fortnite is worth to be returned to. Plus you can find someone to play with 24/7 - the game's audience is about to make it to the 50 million players soon.
The Bottom Line
Fortnite reigns over the genre at the moment. And it's certainly one of the most enjoyable BR games on the market. Plus the generous donators don't get any special battle privileges - it's all about your skills, precise shots and groovy moves.
Downloading Fortnite Battle Royale will leave the aftertaste of gunpowder and glory.
Pros : $0 price;
Sense of humor;
Cons : Abstract weapon classes;
