Professional Review

Among The Sleep is a horror and survival game developed by the Krillbite Studio where the player is a two-year-old child with a teddy. It was first released in 2014 for PC and later became available for such other platforms like PS4, PS3, PC, iOS, Xbox One, Mac, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and Linux in 2017. But that’s not all, as more and more features are even coming out with the next Among The Sleep update.

Graphics 5/5

The thrilling horror and survival game Among The Sleep is filled with punchy colors that are definitely eye-catching. There are three main characters – a two years old child, a teddy bear, and a mother. The teddy can talk and move, and it will play with the child every time the mother is not around. Apparently, the story is so well decorated with visuals that you won’t have time to ponder about it. In each and every update, the graphics and the refresh rate is getting even smoother.

Gameplay 5/5

The latest update made the gameplay a little bit tricky. The story remains unchanged, but on any platform, you may find a lot of twists and turns, and any mistake can be fatal. Your wrong step can make the child scared, and things get troublesome in the dark. Finding the teddy and following it might be difficult, but it’s your only option among questionable and confusing turns. As the saying goes, a child is the safest with the mother, and in the game, it is applicable too. Sometimes the gameplay feels like confusing but it definitely is amazing.

Among The Sleep game is not a big HD game, and the minimum system requirements for any platform is dual-core CPU clocked at 2.4 GHz, at least 512 MB of RAM, a basic Graphics card, and no less than 2 GB of free disk space.

Controls 4/5

The controls of this app are not time-consuming to master, and you can learn the whole game controlling part with a minimum of your efforts. However, sometimes the gripping of things might get glitchy, and you may need to practice the particular area. Taking turns, jumpings, and climbings is quite easy, though. There may be few bugs and glitches in the controls, but with every update, the original 2014 release is getting properly fixed.

Replay Value 5/5

Any Among The Sleep reviewer would agree that the game deserves to be replayed. There are twists everywhere in the game, so you might want to come back to one of the forks on your trail and try another turn. Add smooth gameplay and stunning graphics, and you get yourself the finest example of the adventure horror genre. If you want to feel the thrill again, then prepare to secrete a lot of adrenaline while following the two-year child companion – a teddy bear. You may take a different turn while replaying, and every time you do that, you will find some unknown treasure that can manipulate the whole gameplay.

The Bottom Line

A pro tip – you should play this game at least once in a lifetime. You will get scared no matter if you’re a baby or a grown-up (or a teddy bear). It costs very little and can be launched on almost any platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Linux, and Mac. It is sold on all leading game stores.
